Founded in 1917 by Walter Kidde, Kidde Fyrnetics have been pioneers of safety alarms for over 90 years. They developed the first ever integrated smoke detection and carbon dioxide extinguishing system, for use on board ships. Today they are recognised as a global brand with products being used in both businesses and homes.
The Kidde KF20 is a 230V optical, mains-powered smoke alarm. It can be interlinked with up to 23 other Kidde mains alarms. The alarms can be heat, ionisation or optical. When the alarms are interlinked, they will all sound if an individual unit detects danger. The KF20 is ideal for use in areas where things like furniture could ignite. The alarm operates with reduced energy consumption of up to 70% when compared to previous models, which means there are lower lifetime running costs for the end user. It has a Test/Hush button and an LED indicator. There is also a chirp function which acts as a warning when the battery is running low.
