Q-Rad is Dimplex's most intelligent, Lot 20 compliant electric radiator yet, with attractive styling to match the Quantum off-peak storage range. Q-Rad has three customisable heating timers, each with four time and temperature settings for each day of the week. You can also temporarily adjust the heat levels manually if you prefer, to give instant heat when you need it – day and night. Energy-saving Adaptive start for continuous comfort

Adaptive Start is Q-Rad’s self-learning, delayed start function. This feature learns the thermal characteristics of a room then determines how long the appliance needs to operate to reach target temperature according to room size, heat losses, prevailing weather conditions and so on. By measuring the heat-up and cool-down times of the room, and how they vary with external factors, the heater works out when to start heating to reach the user-defined target temperature at a specified time. This intelligent function continually adapts to the current environment, minimising wasted energy and it can deliver cost savings for users.

Taking design cues from the category leading Quantum heater, Q-Rad is sleek, slim and stylish. Combining good looks with flexible installation options, Q-Rad is ideal for use in many applications, including in place of conventional convector heaters or electric radiators. Featuring the intuitive Cap-Sense controls, now familiar across the latest panel heater ranges, the new Q-Rad provides more intelligent software functions than ever, helping you to save money and increasing control over your heating comfort.

Dual-element technology

Q-Rad has a convective element with a variable power output, as well as a radiant element. It uses one or both of these heat sources automatically to maintain an accurate room temperature. Q-Rad calculates the time needed to heat a room and the convective element begins by operating at full power. As the room approaches the target temperature, Q-Rad begins to cycle the convective element between full and reduced power output until the target temperature is reached. At this point, Q-Rad switches off the convector, thereby avoiding overheating and saving energy. To maintain the target temperature, Q-Rad then cycles the convective and radiant elements on and off as required.

Boost your comfort

The ‘Boost’ function provides a more specific temporary boost of heat outside of timed heating periods, in addition to the existing ‘Advance’ function. An improved ‘Away’ mode allows for a return time and/or date to be set, allowing the heater to maintain a lower background temperature to avoid mould or damp, before returning to regular timed operation upon your return. Additional features include PIN-code locking with customisable rule-sets, ‘setback’ temperatures, frost protection, and more!

Take Control with Dimplex

Q-Rad can be remotely controlled via the internet using the Dimplex Control smartphone app*. With Dimplex Control, you have total command of your supported Dimplex products, anytime, anywhere. The app allows you to control and configure your heaters or hot water cylinders, individually or by zone, and easily track the energy usage of each.
